“Padel is for everybody”, sustains the Nederlandse Padelbond. Following the trail of the Dutch National Teams -both ladies and gents-, the organization is preparing the launch of the NL Veterans Team. “… this is not just about winning. This goes beyond that…” said President Norberto Nesi when consulted about the program. “We are seeding heroes in every segment of the dutch sport society. These ambassadors are responsible for creating news, enthusiasm and spreading technical knowledge. It is part of the Besturders and Heroes program we introduced in 2012. It works fantastic”, continued Nesi.
“We are moving into a third phase of selection for candidates. It will take place on October 15th in La Playa Rijswijk. The NL Veterans Team will feature the 45+, 50+ and 55+ categories. We will participate in international events and tour Europe”, informed Program Coordinator Pjotr van Dalfsen. Immediately after, a selection will be made under the supervision of the national team coach. The program will kick off at the beginning of 2017. Candidates can contact Dalfsen at mob 06-53248260.
