Jonas Bjorkman said that he loved padel. Someone said “… put your money where your heart is…”. And he did! He recently opened his padel center PDLCenter in Stockholm.
For those not familiar with Jonas, he is a former World No. 4 Swedish professional tennis player. He is also a former World No. 1 in doubles. He took part in some of the most legendary doubles tennis teams in history. Some his partners included Jan Apell, Jacco Eltingh, Nicklas Kulti, Max Mirnyi, Patrick Rafter, Kevin Ullyett and Todd Woodbridge. He has won the career Grand Slam in men’s doubles, holding a total of 9 major championships. In March 2015 he joined Andy Murray’s coaching team.
So happy was Jonas on June 9th that on his Facebook account he shared: “So much fun to finally make our debut in our own PadelCenter @pdlcenter here in Sthlm even though we lost to the guys on the left😁 Thanks @swedennorman and Olof Mellberg for a great match and @hanksoederberg and I can’t wait for a rematch”
