During Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th Sep, the Dutch National Padel Team (male) concentrated towards its preparation to face Austria, in Milan, Italy, for the last ticket to the World Padel Championship 2016 that will take place in Cascais on November 16th-20th. The face-off against Austria shall take place on 17th and 18th September.
On Saturday a group of players trained indoor at Sportcentrum de Loods Fitness & Padel, in Albergen. From early in the morning, eight players (including sparring partners) played competitive matches. On Sunday 11th, the group gathered at La Playa Rijswijk for tactical and strategical training led by National Team Coach Norberto Nesi, for the Dutch Padel Federation (Nederlandse Padelbond).
The team that will represent Holland is composed by Peter Bruijsten, Marcel Bogaart, Kees-Jan Schuilenburg, Uriel Maarsen, Bram Meijer, Piet Koetsier, Jeroen Nigten and Berend Boers. The delegation is completed by National Team Coach Norberto Nesi and Martijn Van Den Berg (physiotherapist). Some of the sparring partners to the Dutch team included Leander Van der Vaart, Miquel Verhagen, Pjotr van Dalftsen, Jim Kwakkel and Rompert Anjema.
