Joining forces

The Dutch Padel Federation successfully represents the padel sport in Holland. In cooperation with the Dutch Tennis Federation they will make padel available to a broader public. The infrastructure and operational processes needed to organize competitions, support sport associations en train trainers is readily available.

Peter Bruijsten, PR Manager and Board member at the Dutch Padel Bond said about this cooperation: “International experience teaches us that padel, mainly at the early stages of introduction of the sport to a country, is attractive to one specific segment of people: former and current tennis players. This cooperation will allow us to reach this group fast and easy. Additionally, padel courts are suitable to construction inside existing tennis centers. Finally, this agreement offers us access to resources that would otherwise take us long to build”

According to the Dutch Tennis Federation padel is a good complement to tennis. Erik Poel, Director of the Dutch Tennis Federation: “We see the need of tennis players for variety and freedom of choice. An increasing number of tennis clubs have been expressing their intentions to build padel courts. This will build more activities and enthusiasm in the clubs. Padel is a nice complement for the current club members and will surely attract new ones.”
