Peter Bruijsten and Berend Boers continue with their positive results. The humble Dutch team from Oldenzaal lost against tournament champions Fermin Ferreyra (ARG) and Roberto Rodriguez (VEN) 6-3 6-2 for the FIP Rise TPC Daalmeer Championship. Despite Bruijsten-Boers attempts to surprise with their usual changes in tempo and positioning, experienced Ferreira-Rodriguez dominated the match by better managing spaces and opening the court.
Bruijsten-Boers were seeded as number three in the tournament. They benefited from a bye in the first round. For the 1/8F they defeated ascending Purmerend’s coach Ron Tuijp and Padel Dam’s Marc Kluft, 6-2 6-4. Sido Nijholt and Robin Sietsma, who stunned Victor van Ruissen and Marnick Ryckaert (BEL) at 1/8F and Lithuanian national team players Luidži Pakula and Skirmantas Maxinskas in the first round, awaited in the 1/4F. The guys from Oldenzaal moved forward to semi-finals once more, 6-2 6-4. Their tournament finished against Ferreyra-Rogriguez.
